A new video which has leaked out briefly shows off Samsung’s Galaxy S8 for just a few seconds which may not be that long, but it’s long enough to see the phone spun around to show the front, sides, and back, and catch a glimpse of the sticker on the back of the device that says “confidential, do not leak information,” alongside the Galaxy S8 name. While Samsung’s next flagship smartphone may not be getting officially announced and revealed until the end of this month on March 29th, which is the date of their recently announced Unpacked event, there seems to be less and less detail that isn’t known about the phone.
It’s already being rumored that the Galaxy S8 will launch in April with pre-orders of the new smartphone beginning on April 10th, which is just a couple of weeks after Samsung is set to unveil the device to consumers. It was also recently discovered that Samsung has trademarked the name “Infinity Display,” which is being suggested will be the name given to the screen on Samsung’s upcoming new flagship smartphone.
The video in question does show the phone from both sides but the device is not powered on like in some other recently leaked images. Key details are visible though, like the fingerprint sensor on the back to the right of the rear-facing camera sensor as well as the LED flash. On the front you can’t really make out the bezels but the overall design looks just like all of the leaks that have been surfacing for this phone for the past month or two. The Galaxy S8 is said to come with a 5.8-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and come powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, while also carrying 4GB of RAM and have the Bixby AI integrated into the software to provide users with a new digital assistant. Samsung should also be launching the Galaxy S8 Plus which is rumored to come with a slightly larger 6.2-inch display with the same resolution quality and the same type of panel. There are still no details on price for the phone.
