Lenovo is set to launch a new color variant of the Moto G5, the color in question happens to be the “Blue Sapphire” color, which has been leaked on Twitter. Serial leakster Roland Quandt, posted a number of images of the Moto G5 draped in the new color, and according to him, it is the official images of the device, which he somehow obtained. If you take a look at the Moto G5 in the gallery below, you’ll be able to see the device in “Blue Sapphire”, and it sports the color pretty well. Besides the images of the upcoming device, nothing else has been leaked, including the announcement date of the new color variant.
Design wise, the “Blue Sapphire” Moto G5 sports the same look as the original Moto G5, including the placement of the volume rocker and power button on the right-hand side of the device. The position of the camera sensor also remains the same, along with the fingerprint scanner placed below the display, at the chin of the device. It remains unknown whether this “Blue Sapphire” color will be making its way to the Moto G5 Plus, but we will know soon enough in the coming months. The internals of the yet-to-be released “Blue Sapphire” Moto G5, is expected to remain the same as the original version. This includes a 5.0-inch display and is fueled a Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU to handle graphics. Memory wise, it packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
For optics, the device sports a 13-megapixel camera on its rear, assisted by a LED flash and the whole camera module happens to be flush with the rear of the handset. Selfies are handled by a 5-megapixel camera located on the front of the device. This dual-SIM device packs a 2,800mAh battery which supports fast charging. For software, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, and you can expect it to receive Google Assistant in the coming months. It is currently available in two colors, namely Fine Gold and Lunar Gray.
