Sony has just introduced a new smartphone, the Xperia L1. This is the company’s all-new entry-level smartphone which comes with Android Nougat. The Sony Xperia L1 definitely looks like a smartphone from the ‘Xperia’ line of smartphones, that’s rather easy to notice, and its software adapts to everyday needs of its user, says Sony. This smartphone also takes advantage of ‘Xperia Tips’, which is Sony’s personal assistant. In any case, let’s talk more about its design and specifications, shall we.
This smartphone sports on-screen buttons, just like its siblings, and all of its physical buttons are visible on the right-hand side of its body, the power / lock, volume up and volume down keys. The company’s branding is placed below the earpiece, and the Xperia branding can be found on the back of the Xperia L1. Now, the device sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). MediaTek’s MT6737T 64-bit quad-core processor fuels this smartphone, and is running at 1.45GHz. This handset packs in a 2,620mAh non-removable battery which comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging, while Sony’s STAMINA mode is also included here. A 13-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, 3x Clear Image Zoom) is placed on the back of the Xperia L1. A 5-megapixel snapper (f/2.2 aperture, 24mm wide-angle lens) can be found on the front side of the Xperia L1, and a Type-C USB port is located on the bottom of the device.
The Xperia L1 comes with xLOUD, Clear Audio+ and Stereo Recording, while NFC is also included in the package. Android Nougat comes pre-installed on the Xperia L1, but we still don’t know what version exactly, quite probably Android 7.0 Nougat, but we’ll have to wait for Sony’s confirmation. The device comes in Black, White and Pink color variants, while it measures 151 x 74 x 8.7mm, and weighs 180 grams. The phone will launch in select markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, North America and Latin America from late April 2017, says Sony, though the company did not reveal exact release dates nor the phone’s pricing.
