Unlikely Xiaomi Mi 6 Images Surface, Thick Bezels In Tow

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to launch next month, and the device has just leaked yet again. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see three new images which are allegedly showing off the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 handset. Unlike most leaks we’ve seen thus far, this leak actually shows off a metal-clad Xiaomi Mi 6, while previous leaks suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be made out of metal and glass.

As you can see, this is a Rose Gold variant of the device, and it comes with a dual camera setup on the back, which is something most leaks agree on. Next to the two cameras on the back, you’ll notice a dual-LED flash, while the phone’s antennas are visible on the top of the phone. The power / lock, volume up and volume down keys are placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone, and the company’s branding is visible on the back of the device. The second image in the gallery lets you take a look at this phone from the front, and you can easily notice the front-facing fingerprint scanner, and a home key, while this particular device has a ton of bezel on it. Its bezels above and below the display are quite thick, and the side bezels are not exactly that thin either. The third image down below let you take a look at the phone’s speaker grills which are placed on the bottom of the device, and in between them you’ll notice the Type-C USB port, and also a pair of screws.

Now, this might be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6, but that’s not that likely. This phone has way too much bezel on its, and it doesn’t exactly look like something Xiaomi would release as their new flagship smartphone. Chances are that the company will opt for a glass + metal build, in addition to the ceramic variant of the device which will also be available, at least according to rumors. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will probably feature less bezel, and you can expect this phone to ship with the Snapdragon 835, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and Android Nougat with MIUI 8 on top of it. We still don’t know when exactly will the Xiaomi Mi 6 land, but it is expected to launch in April, so stay tuned.
