Xiaomi Unveils The Mi TV 4A Series, Prices Start at $304 USD

After a number of teasers which pointed to a new TV with high-end specs and at a cheaper price, Xiaomi finally unveils the Mi TV 4A series. At an event held today in Beijing, Xiaomi launched and showcased the power of the Mi TV 4A series. Unlike the Mi TV 4 launched at CES 2017, the new TV from Xiaomi called the ” Mi TV 4A” is well distinct to its name as it comes with some powerful hardware and differs from its predecessor the Mi TV 4. It does not utilize a modular design like the Mi TV 4 and comes with a more flat display and narrow design.

Talking about specs, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A comes in various models and these are mainly grouped into two clusters according to display sizes. The base model comes with a 43 inch display, then a 49-inch and 55-inch models follow, and finally the “gigantic” 65-inch model. The 43 and 49-inch models have a 1080p resolution display while their high-end counterparts the 55-inch and 65-inch models use a 4K resolution display. These TV’s are packed with a quad-core 64-bit high-performance Amlogic T962 clocked at 1.5GHz and its graphics content is powered by the Mali 450 750MHz GPU. They also have 2GB DDR4 of RAM and 32GB eMMC5 flash memory on all versions.

These Mi TV 4A series televisions will sport the latest UHD (ultra high definition) HLG (hybrid log gamma) and support for HDR10 with the Dolby Vision format also not forgotten. This is a smart TV as well and comes with WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2. Speaking of which this will allow you to connect all your Bluetooth devices to the TV, like speakers, gaming pads, phones, earphones and others. Apart from the 43-inch base model, all the other models will also have Artificial Intelligence (AI) voice control which gives you the ability to control the TV with a voice command which is activated via the remote control. The TV also comes with a third generation remote control with a voice control button to spice up the experience. The remote also has the Mi touch function, a rotational navigation button for swiping using both Bluetooth and infrared connectivities.

For the base model (43-inches) it will cost 2,099 Yuan ($304 USD) without artificial intelligence. The 49-inch standard version will cost 2599 Yuan ($376 USD). However, there is also another version with voice control at 2,899 Yuan ($420 USD). The 55-inch standard version starts at 3199 Yuan ($463 USD) and the one with artificial intelligence voice control is at $3599 Yuan ($521 USD). The final 65-inch standard version is at 5,699 Yuan ($826 USD) with the one pursing artificial intelligence voice controls at 6,199 Yuan ($898 USD). The first three versions 43-inch, 49-inch, and 55-inch versions will be available at 10 AM on March 23rd.
