Family Guy Freakin Mobile Game is the name of the latest Family Guy-themed Android title that hit the Google Play Store. Developed by Jam City, this match-three puzzler started rolling out online on Monday and should now be available for download worldwide. On the most basic level, Family Guy Freakin Mobile Game tasks players with connecting three or more identical symbols on a grid in an efficient manner with the goal of completing a level, and moving on to another, similar one. The vanilla version of the game features 160 levels, many of which are quite challenging, and all of which reward players with animations starring Peter, Lois, Chris, Brian, and all of the other characters from the well-known animated series.
While Family Guy Freakin Mobile Game technically boasts four game modes, they primarily differ in the reasoning behind why players have to match symbols on their screens, while their actual mechanics are almost identical. The game also boasts some boss battles based on its match-three mechanics that are somewhat similar to those featured in King’s games like the Bubble Witch Saga series and are just as challenging. On the downside, this particular title doesn’t seem to do a lot of justice to the Family Guy IP and likely wasn’t written by Seth MacFarlane and other people responsible for running the popular animated series. The dialogues and unique storylines featured in Family Guy Freakin Mobile Game are hardly on the same level of quality as those from the original series, though the game does its best to compensate for it by providing players with massive amounts of fan service.
Family Guy Freakin Mobile Game also suffers from some minor technical issues including occasional crashes and annoyingly long loading times, though those problems might and hopefully will be fixed with a future client-side update. Finally, the title ships with support for Google Play Games-powered achievements but doesn’t use the same framework to provide players with the option of cloud saving, which seems like a significant oversight. Still, fans of the animated series might still be able to enjoy Jam City’s latest creation that can be downloaded by following the Google Play Store link below.
