Huawei had introduced the MediaPad M3 tablet back in September last year, and a new tablet by the company just got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). Now, it is possible that this is the Huawei MediaPad M4, though its specifications seem a bit underwhelming for that model, it is possible that this is a budget variant of the MediaPad M3, or something of the sort. This device is made out of metal, as you can see in the provided images. Let’s take a look at its spec sheet, shall we.
The Huawei BZK-L00, which is its model number, features an 8-inch 1280 x 800 display, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). This tablet is fueled by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, which is quite probably one of Huawei’s mid-range Kirin chips. A 4,650mAh non-removable battery will be a part of this package as well, and we presume that the company will include fast charging in this tablet as well, though TENAA does not reveal such info. A 5-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this tablet, and a 2-megapixel snapper will be available on the device’s front side. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 or 5.1 skin. This tablet will be available in Moonlight Silver, Sky Gray and Gold color variants, while it will measure 211.07 x 124.65 x 7.95mm, and weigh 350 grams.
That is pretty much all the info that TENAA revealed, and considering this tablet got certified in China, we’re expecting that Huawei will make it official in the near future. This seems to be the company’s affordable tablet offering, and it will almost certainly be a part of the MediaPad line, but not the MediaPad M4. The Huawei MediaPad M4 is expected to land during this year’s IFA in Berlin, which will be held in the beginning of September, so keep that in mind. Having said that, we’ll let you know as soon as Huawei decided to introduce the Huawei BZK-L00 tablet, stay tuned.
