Four new images depicting what’s said to be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship have surfaced online earlier today on Chinese social media website Weibo, indicating that Xiaomi’s latest high-end Android phone won’t feature a 3.5mm audio jack. The images that can be seen below allegedly depict the base model of the device that sports a 2.5D curved panel, while the more expensive model is said to feature a full curved display, rumors suggest, but no previously leaked real-life photographs of the Mi 6 have corroborated that claim so far. As for other features of the device depicted in the newly uncovered pictures, the Mi 6 will apparently boast a ceramic back panel that will host a dual camera setup with a conventional dual tone LED flash, while the overall design of the device will be rather soft and round. The smartphone will also seemingly sport standard-sized bezels, though that’s hard to tell from this particular set of images.

While the standard 3.5mm audio port seems to be missing from the device, the new leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a USB C port, which is in line with older reports about the handset. The bottom of the smartphone will also apparently feature two speaker grills, the images indicate. According to previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will boast a 5.15-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels and be powered by the Snapdragon 835, Qualcomm’s first 10nm system-on-chip (SoC) that’s said to be more powerful and much more energy efficient than its predecessor. In addition to the flagship SoC that also sports the Adreno 540 GPU, the Mi 6 will allegedly be offered in variants sporting 4GB and 6GB of RAM, as well as 64GB and 128GB of storage space. The dual camera setup of the device allegedly consists of a 12-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) support, while the front of the phone apparently accommodates a single 8-megapixel camera.

There have been conflicting reports regarding the battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi 6, though most industry insiders agree the device will support Quick Charge 4.0 and ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat enhanced with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9. The phone is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday, April 19.
