The Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 design schematics have just leaked, allegedly. Nokia actually introduced three Android-based smartphones this year, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. All three of these devices will become available in a number of markets around the world, Europe included. That being said, all those devices are affordable phones, which don’t exactly belong in the high-end category of smartphones. Well, that might change when the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 land, and if today’s leak is accurate, we now know what to expect in terms of the design when it comes to those two phones.
If you take a look at the first image in the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Nokia 9, allegedly. As you can see, this phone sports really, really thin bezels all around, and it doesn’t sport a home key below the display, which means it will ship with on-screen buttons. If the source is to be believed, an iris scanner might be included above the phone’s display, and the company’s branding is placed in the upper right corner of the phone’s front side. If you take a look at the back of this phone, you’ll get to see quite a few sensors here. A dual camera setup seems to be included on this phone, plus there are a couple of sensors below it. The two small cutouts could represent the phone’s LED flash and perhaps a laser auto focus, while the fingerprint scanner might be placed down below, well, at least it looks like it, even though the source claims that it might be placed below the display.
The second image in the gallery seemingly shows off schematics of the Nokia 8. Now, this smartphone also has really thin bezels, but it comes with a home key below the display which will double as a fingerprint scanner. This phone also sports a dual camera setup on the back, and an iris scanner is also a part of this package. An LED flash is placed on the back of the device, and this handset also has a rather odd-looking sensor on the back which seems to be too small for a fingerprint scanner, besides, the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the front side of this phone. We’ll have to wait until Nokia announce this device in order to find out what it is, presuming that the leak is legit, of course. The Nokia 9 probably won’t launch before Q3 this year, at least according to a recent rumor, and we still don’t have any info on the Nokia 8, so stay tuned.
