The OPPO F3 Plus is now available for purchase in a new Black color variant in India. When OPPO launched the smartphone in the country last month, it said the product will be sold in Black and Gold. But up until now, Indian customers could only pick up the OPPO F3 Plus in Gold. This changes today, as the Black version of the phone has appeared on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 30,999, which translates to approximately $480.
In a bid to continue monetizing customers’ fondness for selfie-taking, OPPO introduced the “Selfie Expert” F3 Plus smartphone last month. The handset comes carrying a spacious 6.0-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and Coring Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It’s fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor and 4GB of RAM, in addition to boasting 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. Even if the OPPO F3 Plus might not feature the most powerful system-on-chip, many selfie enthusiasts will probably find the device appealing once they learn that the phone features a front dual camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel one. The camera setup is built around a 1.3-inch sensor that can offer increased light exposure, while its f/2.0 aperture brings out an appealing depth-of-field effect. The secondary camera can capture a much wider view thanks to the specialized 120-degree wide-angle 8-megapixel sensor.
Even if the main selling point of the OPPO F3 Plus is its selfie camera, the Chinese company also bundled a pretty impressive main 16-megapixel camera on the back of the product, one which features an aperture of f/1.7, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), optical image stabilization (OIS), and a dual LED flash. The smartphone relies on a 4,000mAh battery for power and also supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and a hybrid dual-SIM. On the bleak side of things, the OPPO F3 Plus ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow running out of the box, and given OPPO’s recent track record of delivering software updates, it’s quite possible that OPPO F3 Plus owners won’t see the Android 7.0 Nougat update arrive anytime soon.
