Huawei Nova 2 Series Poster Shows Device Colors

A promotional poster for the Huawei Nova 2 series has been leaked online, showing the device colors of the new phone. The Huawei Nova 2 series will be comprised of two handsets that will differ primarily in terms of display size, the Huawei Nova 2 and the Huawei Nova 2 Plus. Based on the poster, the devices will be available in green, blue, and pink variants. The poster is also showing devices with black bezels surrounding the display, which is somewhat different from the images that leaked with the TENAA listing which shows the phone with white bezels. This leak of the promotional poster for the Huawei Nova 2 series further substantiates the previous reports regarding the presence of a larger device in the lineup.

While there is still no official announcement regarding the feature set and availability of the device, its images have been previously released in a TENAA listing. Based on the pictures, the Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus have similar designs, but the two will be differentiated by display size. The smaller variant, the Huawei Nova 2, will have a 5.1-inch display, while its larger brother, the Huawei Nova 2 Plus, will have a 5.5-inch display. While the details of the internal specifications are scarce, previous leaks already gave some details on the handset’s decidedly midrange hardware. Both devices will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 660, a newly-released “mobile platform” from Qualcomm that is powered by an octa-core Kryo 260 CPU. Given that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 will be fabricated on a 14nm process, it is safe to expect respectable battery life due to the smaller and more energy-efficient process compared to its predecessor the Snapdragon 653. Aside from the chipset, also previously reported is the battery capacity of the two phones, which is pegged at more than 3,000 mAh.

Externally, it is expected that both devices will have a fingerprint scanner on the back. The phones will also have a dual-camera setup and an LED flash on the back similar to what we saw from Huawei’s high-end devices. The smartphones will also likely run Android Nougat, with the usual Huawei overlay of the Emotion UI. While there is no clear word yet on the pricing and device availability, the Huawei Nova 2 series will likely be launched on May 26th.
