Leaked Poster Claims OnePlus 5 Will Launch On June 15

OnePlus’ alleged internal email surfaced yesterday, claiming that the OnePlus 5 will be announced on June 15, and now the company’s seemingly official promo poster popped up reconfirming that date as the launch date for OnePlus’ flagship. If you take a look at the image below this article, you will see the aforementioned promo poster, and even though the text is in Chinese, you can clearly see that the highlighted date is June 15, and if true, we’re only two weeks away from the handset’s announcement.

Now, in addition to sharing the date of the announcement, this poster also reports that the phone will be announced at 3PM (China time). It’s also worth noting that this image surfaced on KJuma’s official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, and KJuma is actually a well-known leaker in China, which gives this leak some credibility, as his track record has been rather good in the last couple of years. Having said that, we’ve recently published the OnePlus 5 preview, in which you’ll find all the info about the company’s upcoming handset, some leaked info, and some info that OnePlus already confirmed. All in all, the company’s handset will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835, the company already confirmed that, and it will also sport a front-facing fingerprint scanner, while its 3.5mm headphone jack will be placed on the very top of the device, which was also confirmed.

Now, if rumors and leaks are to be believed, the OnePlus 5 will sport a dual camera setup on the back, and its bezels will be thinner than they were on the OnePlus 3(T). Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll get OnePlus’ OxygenOS skin. The device will sport 6GB or 8GB of internal storage, and a 16-megapixel shooter will probably be included on the front side of the phone, though there’s a chance that OnePlus might opt for an 8-megapixel camera instead. The phone will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD or QHD AMOLED display, and chances are that its display will be flat, though we cannot be sure just yet. All in all, OnePlus’ announcement is right around the corner it seems, and it will be interesting to see what did OnePlus come up with this time around.
