Red-Colored OnePlus 5 Concept Pops Up With Two Main Cameras

The OnePlus 5’s announcement is right around the corner, and yet another concept design has just surfaced. This render comes from a Peruvian Product Designer, Hajime Noguchi, and it was published on its Instagram page. Now, the provided render shows off a red-colored OnePlus 5, and this is just what Mr. Noguchi thinks the phone will / should look like, this is not a leak of the phone or anything of the sort. That being said, it does resemble several designs that leaked in the last couple of weeks.

As you can see, this phone sports a dual camera setup on the back, and the real OnePlus 5 will, almost certainly sport a dual camera setup as well, as pretty much every rumor and leak confirmed that. The dual camera setup on this concept phone protrudes on the back a bit, and next to it you’ll notice an LED flash. The company’s logo is placed on the back of the device, and its volume up, volume down and power / lock keys are placed on the right. A fingerprint scanner / home key is located below the display on this smartphone, and it is flanked by two capacitive buttons which serve as back and overview (multitasking) keys. The device is made out of metal, and its antenna bands are also visible in the provided render, they’re located on the top and bottom of the phone’s back side. The phone’s display comes with rounded corners, similar to the one on the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8 (Plus).

Mr. Noguchi did not provide any spec info for this phone, which is not exactly surprising, considering this is just a concept design. That being said, the OnePlus 5 will launch this summer, OnePlus already confirmed that, and the company also confirmed that its fingerprint scanner will be placed on the front, and that the device will sport a 3.5mm headphone jack. The OnePlus 5 will, almost certainly, ship with the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Several storage variants will be available, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the OnePlus 5. The device will probably launch next month, considering that its predecessor arrived in June last year, though OnePlus only said that it’s launching ‘this summer’, so who knows.
