Samsung Galaxy S8-Inspired Meizu PRO 7 Renders Surface

Meizu’s Vice President, Li Nan, recently said that Meizu will not release a bezel-less smartphone in 2017, and despite that, a new Meizu PRO 7 render leaked with no bezels on the sides. Now, having Li Nan’s statement in mind, we have to presume that this is just a concept leak or something of the sort, even though the phone does resemble Meizu’s style quite a bit. Now, as you can see in the provided image, the design of this phone is definitely inspired by the Galaxy S8. The device has no bezel on the sides, while it has really thin, symmetrical bezels above and below the display.

The display is not rounded in this case, as it is on the Galaxy S8, but the phone looks quite sleek, there’s no escaping that fact. The device sports a ring flash on the back, which is nothing new for Meizu, and above it sits a camera which seems to be protruding on the back ever so slightly. The volume up, volume down and power / lock key are placed on the right-hand side of this smartphone, and the device’s antenna bands are also quite visible in the upper and lower portion of the phone’s back. Now, as already mentioned, this device probably won’t become a reality, due to Li Nan’s statement, but if Meizu’s VP did not say what he said recently, we would be inclined to believe this is the Meizu PRO 7. This device fits Meizu’s style perfectly, even though it does not have the mBack physical home key below the display. The company’s UI is basically dependent on that multifunctional button, so chances are that the Meizu PRO 7 will ship with it.

According to some previously leaked info, the Meizu PRO 7 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch fullHD or QHD (2560 x 1440) display, along with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage. MediaTek’s Helio X30 64-bit deca-core SoC will probably fuel Meizu’s upcoming flagship, and Android Nougat could come pre-installed on the device, but it’s also possible Meizu might opt for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow instead. In any case, the company’s Flyme OS will come pre-installed on Android, and the device will ship with Meizu’s proprietary fast charging.
