Vernee's Thor E Now Available For Pre-Order At $110

Vernee‘s Thor E is now available for pre-order at $110 through a couple of different retailers including GearBest and TomTop websites, though when the device officially launches the cost is set to rise to $130 as that’s the official launch price of the new phone. The Thor E’s claim to fame is it’s E-Ink display feature that allows users to put it into a mode that mimics the colors of an actual E-Ink display to save the user some battery life during the day. The Thor E already comes with a fairly large battery as it weighs in at 5020mAh, so chances are that users would already be getting pretty decent battery life without this feature that Vernee is officially calling E-Ink mode.

In addition to the large battery and E-Ink mode, the Thor E will come running on Android 7.0 Nougat so the software will be pretty up to date with the latest Android OS features. The device is also packed with plenty of other decent specs at this price, like a charging port that supports reversible charging, meaning you can plug the charger in either way and it will still be able to connect and charge the device similar to a USB Type-C port, though not with all of its added benefits.

Although the Thor E doesn’t use USB Type-C and it likely won’t charge as quick as devices that support this charger type, the Thor does have support for 9V2A charging which means it should still charge up fairly quickly, though how quickly remains to be seen as that bigger battery may cause it to have a longer charge time than if it had a battery with a smaller capacity. The Thor E will come equipped with a 5-inch HD display for the screen and it features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat, and it’s carrying 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. Vernee originally showed off the Thor E during Mobile World Congress back at the end of February and early March, but at the time they didn’t mention a price point or when it would officially be launching or going up for pre-order.
