The customer service for the OnePlus 5 will be capable and efficient, the Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer implied on Monday. In a short video posted on YouTube earlier today, OnePlus presented a brief history of its after-sales support department, noting that the division is now more than 500 employees strong, having grown around a hundred times since the company was founded in late 2013. Boasting a large number of support teams and repair centers around the world, the Shenzhen, Guangdong-based phone maker said that it’s extremely confident about the quality of its after-sales services, heavily implying that its customer support efforts have been increased in the run-up to the release of the OnePlus 5. The full video detailing the company’s customer service division including its history and everyday activities can be seen beneath this writing.
The Chinese original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recently started a new marketing campaign aimed at building up anticipation for the OnePlus 5, its latest Android flagship that’s expected to be officially announced later this month. The firm already released a number of teasers hinting at some features and capabilities of the OnePlus 5, in addition to essentially confirming that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, a 10nm piece of silicon boasting eight Kyro cores and the Adreno 540 graphics chip. The company also revealed that French imaging company DxO Labs participated in the development of the OnePlus 5, likely on the software side of things. The handset is expected to sport a dual camera setup on its rear panel, in addition to shipping with at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash memory. Recent reports indicated that the phone maker may opt to release a more premium variant of the OnePlus 5 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, though that has yet to be confirmed. The company itself recently suggested that the device will be somewhat more compact than the 2016 OnePlus 3T, though it’s still believed to ship with the same 5.5-inch Full HD display panel.
The OnePlus 5 may be announced as early as June 15, though recent rumors put its launch date on or around June 20, with some industry insiders claiming that the phone will be somewhat more expensive than its predecessor. Regardless, an update on the global availability and pricing of the OnePlus 5 is bound to follow shortly.
