ASUS has just announced a new smartphone, the ASUS Pegasus 4S. The Pegasus 4S is ASUS’ ‘full-screen’ smartphone which was actually certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, as the ASUS X018DC. This handset is made out of metal, and it sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, not to mention that it has two cameras on its back. All of its physical keys can be found on the right-hand side of its body, while a SIM card tray is located on the left.
Now, the ASUS Pegasus 4S also sports a Type-C USB port on the bottom, and that port is flanked by speaker grills, though the Pegasus 4S comes with a single speaker, not two of them. This handset sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, and it comes in two RAM and storage variants. The base model of the device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, while a 4GB RAM variant was also announced by the company, and that model comes with 64GB of internal storage. 16 and 8-megapixel shooters are included on the back of the ASUS Pegasus 4S, and both of them protrude on the back a bit. An 8-megapixel snapper is included on the front side of this smartphone, and as far as the phone’s battery is concerned, you’re getting a 4,030mAh non-removable pack here. Android 7.0 Nougat is also a part of this package, and on top of it, ASUS pre-installed its very own custom skin, ZenUI. This handset also comes with two SIM card slots, and it supports both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE 4G bands, while VoLTE is also a part of the package (where supported).
Now, ASUS did announce this smartphone, but the company did not reveal its price point, nor did it say when will the phone become available for purchase. The phone renders that you can see in the gallery down below are the only available images of this handset, aside from images that were shared by TENAA a while back. ASUS is expected to reveal more details regarding the Pegasus 4S in the near future, including plenty more images of the phone, its price point and its release date. One thing is for sure, though, this phone will roll out in Asia first, and if it comes to Europe or the US, it will be under a different name, that’s for sure.
