The Array Smart Deadbolt is now available for pre-orders, the company has announced at CES 2018. The Array Smart Deadbolt is essentially a smart lock which comes with a rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi connectivity, and it can be connected to your smartphone via a dedicated application, of course. In addition to that, you can choose between ‘Cooper’ and ‘Barrington’ design styles, they’re quite similar, but the ‘Cooper’ style features cleaner lines, softer edges. Other than some differences in terms of the design, those two variants of the Array Smart Deadbolt are identical. Hampton Products International says that you can easily replace your regular deadbolt with its Smart Deadbolt using a screwdriver, after which you’ll need to connect it to your router. The Array Smart Deadbolt features data encryption and two-step authentication, in addition to a secure cloud architecture, same goes for other products from the company. This smart deadbolt also sports a solar panel on it, which, in combination with a built-in battery, should resolve all your worries regarding battery life. Now, this smart deadbolt is offering you a number of ways to open your door, you can use your smartphone (Android or iOS), and open it via a dedicated app, you can use your regular key, or a keypad included on the deadbolt itself.
Hampton Products International’s Array application allows you to lock and unlock this deadbolt remotely, while you can also activate geofencing. In addition to that, the app allows you to check lock status and usage, schedule access via e-Keys and e-Codes, and monitor battery status.
