Hampton Products International had announced yesterday that its Array Smart Deadbolt is up for pre-order, and the company has now also confirmed the expansion of its Array Smart Home line. This announcement occurred at CES 2018, and the company has announced that it will expand its Array Smart Home line with outdoor lighting equipped with high-end digital cameras, and deadbolts that sense whether the door is locked or not, though the company did not share any images of these products.
The company said that its new products can be checked out at the Hampton Array Benjilock smart home booth #40743 at CES 2018, and the deadbolt will also be shown at the company’s booth at IBS 2018 in Orlando. The Array Smart Light comes with built-in cameras which are meant to improve upon other cloud-connected, app-enabled products of similar nature, says the company, while Hampton Products International also explained why that is. The Array Smart Light comes with a custom lens and improved camera firmware, says the company, and that lens is expected to improve upon image quality by reducing shadows and distortion. The Array Smart Light also has an AI angle, as it’s capable of recognizing people from animals and tree branches, which should drastically reduce notifications. The company is also proud to say that there is no lag time between camera sensing motion and image appearing on the Array app.
Now, the company’s new Array Smart Light is said to come in two variants, the first variant is a showroom-quality coach light for front porches, while the other one is a dual-head security light for yards and side areas, says the company. Both of those smart lights will sport a patent-pending 2-in-1 lighting feature, a standard setting which is supposed to illuminate the port or yard, and an ultra-bright setting which is expected to add visibility when the light’s motion sensor is triggered. The second product that we’ve mentioned in the first paragraph is the Array Chek, which is the company’s new lock which uses electronic sensing to confirm if the deadbolt is secured. A patent-pending Smart Latch is expected to communicate the lock’s status back to the Array application, and let you know whether the door is locked and closed. All of the products that we’ve mentioned here are expected to become available sometime in 2018, though Hampton Products International did not say when.
