This week during CES there has been plenty of new TVs showcased at the event coming from all different brands, including more popular brands like Samsung and LG who have both announced some pretty interesting stuff, such as Samsung’s The Wall, and LG’s new Nano Cell Super UHD display TVs. Another brand showcasing a bunch of new TVs this week at the event is HiSense, who might be one of the more versatile brands this year as it’s launching a whole slew of smart TVs that come with a wide range of different features and functions.
For starters, as you’ll be able to see from the gallery of images below, HiSense is rolling out new smart TVs that are built on the Android TV platform, meaning you’ll have Android TV baked right into the TVs so you can have access to the Play Store and tons of different apps like Netflix, YouTube, and more. They’ll also come with Google Assistant support so you can use hands-free actions like searching for stuff to watch, or managing smart home products for things like turning up the temperature in the home or turning off a few smart bulbs in another room of the house, things which you can do through Google Assistant either on your smartphone or using a Google Home speaker.
More than the Android TV units HiSense is also launching a new lineup of TVs which come with the Roku platform. So while you won’t have the Play Store here which means a significantly smaller number of available apps at your fingertips, Roku being integrated makes it simple to have access to plenty of widely used apps, such as Netflix and YouTube, or any other streaming TV and music apps that would be available via Android. These also work perfectly for anyone who is more used to or prefers Roku to other streaming platforms, and with HiSense now entering the market with smart TVs that are powered by Roku TCL won’t be the only brand doing so.
Lastly, HiSense is also launching a lineup of Amazon Alexa-enabled TVs so if Amazon’s digital assistant is your assistant of choice, and if you’ve already invested in the Alexa ecosystem and have linked your smart home products with Alexa in terms of hands-free control, then these would be the TVs to go for if you were to pick one up from HiSense. The TVs will not only be 4K UHD resolution but also come with support for HDR 10 or Dolby Vision, as well as come in a variety of sizes ranging from as small as 43-inches all the way up to 75-inches depending on your personal tastes. If you tend to go for something smaller you could opt for the 43-inch, or if you tend to gravitate towards something bigger you can spring for the 65-inch or 75-inch models. There’s no word yet on what any of these TVs will cost and HiSense has yet to announce when they will launch any of these TVs, so for now these may just serve as potential upgrades for those looking to get into something new.
