HTC U11 EYEs Launching On January 15; Renders And Specs Leak

The HTC U11 EYEs aka HTC Harmony, had leaked a couple of times, and the company just announced when it will announce the device, while the phone’s renders and specs surfaced as well. HTC’s official Weibo (Chinese social network) account confirmed that the phone will arrive on January 15, and it will be announced in China, obviously. In addition to that, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), shared a couple of seemingly official renders of the HTC EYEs, and its specs as well, read on.

As you can see, Mr. Blass published Red, Silver and Black variants of the HTC U11 EYEs. This handset actually resembles the HTC U11 Plus quite a bit, though it will be inferior to the company’s flagship in terms of specs. The HTC U11 EYEs will be made out of metal and glass, if these renders are to be believed, while it will ship with a single camera on its back. The phone will also sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while a dual-LED, dual-tone flash will also be included back there. The phone will sport rather thin bezels, while its display will sport rounded corners. The power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons will be located on the right-hand side of the HTC U11 EYEs, while its SIM card tray will probably sit on the left. It seems like a 3.5mm headphone jack will be included at the bottom of the device, though we’re not entirely sure, as there seems to be some sort of a port for it down there, but due to the angle of these renders, we cannot say for sure. A Type-C USB port is also expected to be included at the bottom of the phone, in case you were wondering.

Now, the HTC U11 EYEs will, according to Mr. Blass’ info, sport a 6-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) Super LCD3 display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core processor, which is Qualcomm’s mid-range chip. A 3,930mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of this package, while the device will come with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance as well. Android Nougat will come pre-installed on the phone, while ‘Edge Sense’ will also be a part of this package. On top of all that, Mr. Blass also shared the phone’s price point, it is said to cost 3,299 Yuan ($510). That is pretty much all the info that was shared, and considering that the phone is launching in a couple of days, we’ll get all the official info soon.
