Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design Coming To The US At $1,225 – CES 2018

Huawei has confirmed that the Mate 10 Porsche Design will be coming to the United States. Huawei recently suffered a major setback due to AT&T pulling out of a deal with the company that would have seen it sell the Mate 10 Pro to its millions of subscribers. Despite this, the Chinese company continued on and announced that it would be made available unlocked next month. Now, shortly after confirming the Mate 10 Pro’s availability, the company has also confirmed that the Mate 10 Porsche Design will be coming to the country.

Huawei’s Mate 10 Porsche Design is certainly more of a niche device but does offer a number of upgrades over the more traditional Mate 10 Pro. In terms of aesthetics, the Porsche Design is sold exclusively in Diamond Black, with the front panel featuring a Porsche Design logo underneath the 18:9 display. Looking at the rear, a number of modifications are also present, with a group of grey lines that highlight the dual-camera setup and fingerprint sensor being the most notable, though the large Porsche Design emblem is also present in the center of the panel. Moving on to the inside of the device, Huawei’s niche product boasts one major improvement over the Mate 10 Pro, this being the amount of internal storage. In the Mate 10 Pro, users get access to 128GB of storage, but with the Porsche Desing model, this has been doubled to 256GB. Other incentives include a leather case designed by German company Montblanc that is bundled inside the box, along with a number of other accessories and adapters. The rest of the device’s details remain pretty similar to that of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, with 6GB of RAM and the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chip included on the inside, while the rear camera setup is comprised of a main 12-megapixel sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel monochrome module.

Huawei has confirmed that the Mate 10 Porsche Design will go on sale unlocked in the US on February 18 alongside the Mate 10 Pro. In terms of pricing, users will have to shell out a total of $1,225 to get their hands on the device. Nonetheless, consumers can also get their hands on the Mate 10 Pro for the lower price tag of $799, with pre-orders for the flagship commencing February 4. The duo will be available through Amazon, Best Buy, Microsoft, Newegg, and B&H.
