Libratone has taken the opportunity at CES 2018 to introduce its latest set of headphones, the Libratone TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones. This is a company that already has a number of headphones available which collectively form its Q Adapt family of products, and the TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones are designed to complement that series and therefore do adopt a number of similar features found on existing Q Adapt models. The most notably of which is the level of noise canceling customization.
While a large selection of headphones do offer noise cancellation, Libratone has taken this to the next stage with the TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones thanks to their inclusion of an adaptive level of noise canceling. This feature will automatically adjust the level of noise cancellation to best suit the current environment, for example when in the office compared to when walking down a busy street. When the opposite is true and outside noise needs to be heard, these headphones will draw on their “Hush Mode” where the built-in microphone is activated to pick up outside and nearby noise. With these being earphones, they are also designed to be extremely lightweight and easy to stow and carry when not in use. Although the same can be said for the company’s previous in-ear earphones (which offer the same sort of portability and cancellation), the difference with the TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones is these are wireless – omitting the need for a wired connection altogether and resulting in the company’s most portable set of headphones to date. Another notably change with this set of earphones is the ear tips which have been redesigned for an improved level of fit. There are four different sized tips included in the package and one set has been specifically designed and included for sports-minded users. Speaking of which, one of the additional aspects that is also likely to appeal to sports-focused users is the inclusion of an IPX4 water-resistance rating. Lastly, these are headphones which can be paired with another set allowing audio to be shared between two listeners at the same time.
In terms of availability, while the Libratone TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones are currently on show at CES 2018, the company has yet to provide exact availability details other than stating the headphones are due to arrive in early 2018. At which point they will be available to buy from a number of retailers including Amazon, as well as directly from Libratone’s online store. When available, the TRACK+ Wireless In-Ear headphones will be priced at $199 in the US and will be available in two color options, Stormy black and Cloudy white.
