Report: Nokia 7 To Launch In India Later This Month

The Nokia 7 was announced back in October last year in China, and it seemed like the device may stay exclusive to China, but it seems like that won’t be the case. According to a new report, the Nokia 7 will become official in India in the near future, by the end of this month, actually. Nokia Power User site received this info from ‘retail sources’, and the site claims that those very same sources released rather accurate info in the past.

Now, it is not yet known how much will the device cost in India, but it should be priced somewhere between Rs. 19,999 ($316) and Rs. 20,999 ($331) in the country. Now, on top of the info that was provided by ‘retail sources’, another tip was sent to the source, as Amazon customer care seemingly confirmed that the Nokia 7 is coming to India and that it will be exclusive to Amazon India, at least as far as online sales go. Amazon customer care also confirmed that the device will become official in the last week of this month, at least that seems to be the case. Now, the device is also expected to reach Europe in February, though nothing has been confirmed just yet. Having said that, the Nokia 7 is a mid-range smartphone, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. This device is more powerful than the original Nokia 6, and kind of on par with the Nokia 6 (2018) which was announced earlier today in China, though the Nokia 7 is a smaller handset.

The Nokia 7 actually comes with a 5.2-inch fullHD display, and it is available in both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, both of which come with 64GB of native storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 630 64-bit octa-core processor, while you will find a 3,000mAh non-removable battery pack on the inside of this phone. The Nokia 7 utilizes on-screen navigation keys, and the device features a 16-megapixel snapper on its back, along with a dual-LED, dual-tone flash. A 5-megapixel snapper is placed on the front side of this smartphone, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes out of the box here, though Android 8.0 Oreo had been announced already, and should become available for the device in the near future.
