Telegram v4.7 Is Here With Multiple Accounts, Quick Replies

The popular messaging platform Telegram has recently released a new update to its Android app. The latest revision of the application can be identified by the version number 4.7, and it brings two new features to its Android app, which include support for multiple accounts and quick replies. Now that Telegram’s Android app supports multiple accounts, users may add up to three accounts with different mobile phone numbers to the application, and people may switch easily between accounts by going to the side menu and pressing on the arrow located beside the account name and mobile number. The app developer also mentioned that users will receive notifications from all accounts by default, although users may proceed to the app’s notification settings and from there, they may select which account will be able to show notifications.

Another new functionality that Telegram has added to its Android application is the support for quick replies. In order to use this feature, people should swipe left of the specific message that they want to reply to. Users should then press on the reply icon, which appears immediately after they swipe on a specific message, in order to either start typing their response or choose the appropriate sticker or emoticon. Aside from the user’s quick reply, the Telegram app will automatically include the quote of the particular message that the person is responding to.

Before releasing the version 4.7 of the Telegram app in the last week of December, the popular messaging platform also released the version 4.6 of the application within the same month. This version introduces new granular settings for downloading media, improved link previews, and enhanced security. Another functionality that is incorporated into the version 4.6 of the Telegram application is the ability to embed Telegram messages to web pages. In order to obtain the HTML code, which is necessary for embedding the message, the user may open the message’s t.me link in a web browser. In addition, the version 4.6 of the application permitted people to use albums, a feature introduced by Telegram in November, in Secret Chats. Users of Telegram may now download the latest version of the application from the Google Play Store.
