The new SOLOS smart glasses are perfect for athletes, featuring a lightweight design and build that make them easy to wear and stay more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. More than being just lightweight and comfortable, the latest SOLOS smart glasses are designed to help athletes be at their very best performance-wise so they can achieve their goals, whether that’s making their best times on the bike or beating their best times on the track during an intense run.
These new glasses also come with audio features that weren’t available on the first-gen model, such as the ability to control and adjust the volume as well as answer and make voice calls, listen to and manage music, and manage group chat communication. Another benefit of the new glasses is a larger eye box. According to SOLOS one of the bigger issues with bike computers, smartwatches and the like is fiddling with those pieces of equipment to get the data and information you need as well as interacting with those devices, which slows down times and affects performance. With the new SOLOS smart glasses that come with the larger eye box, it’s easier to simply access that information by glancing at the display in front of you, but it’s not only easier as SOLOS boasts that it’s also safer and the data is being accessed in real-time. The smart glasses are also compatible with Android Wear 2.0.
While still great for serious cyclists the new SOLOS smart glasses are also great for runners and include new capabilities that are catered to runners, such as being able to display various metrics that would be useful like speed, elapsed time, cadence, power, pace, and heart rate in addition to other statistics. Mobile notifications are also now possible so even if you are right in the middle of a good stride and can’t take a break, you can at least see any notifications that come in and reply to them if necessary when you have a chance. As useful as these might sound like many wearables they won’t come cheap. A single pair will cost $499 once they launch, though at the moment there is no exact date for the release that’s been mentioned beyond them being available sometime in the first quarter of this year.
