The Path is Misfit‘s smallest hybrid smartwatch ever, debuting at this year’s CES and aiming to not only make the smartwatch lighter while keeping the style to a more traditional, unassuming design, but also pack it with enough features that still allows consumers to take advantage of the benefits of having a hybrid smartwatch.
The Misfit Path will come in a range of available colors with different looks for the watch case as well as the band, including a silver watch case with a black band like seen above, in addition to a combination silver and gold watch case with a white band, a gold watch case with a purple band, and a rose gold watch case with a peach-colored band. This way consumers will have choice and it can cater to both men and women’s different personal tastes. The straps are also made of a soft silicone so they’re perfect for wearing even during more sporty activities like exercising. If the straps that come with the watch aren’t to your liking Misfit has ensured that you can find one that you like as the straps are interchangeable, and the cases will fit a wide variety of 16mm straps so you can put more of a custom spin on how the Path looks.
If you’re familiar with other Hybrid smartwatches then you will likely already know some of the available functions and features that the Path will provide. To start, the Path is water resistant up to 50 meters so it’ll be fine if it gets a little bit wet in the rain or from sweat, and it tracks more than a few different types of activities including automatic step tracking, distances traveled, calories burned, and sleep if you want to keep certain that your sleep quality is of a certain level. The battery life is another big benefit as it will apparently last up to six months which means no having to toss this watch on the charger every one or two days, leaving you with one less thing to worry about plugging in. Although not a full smartwatch with a touch display and app compatibility the Path will still let you connect your notifications from your smartphone and they’re customizable so you can keep in touch with others whether the notifications are for calls, texts, emails, or social media. Misfit will launch the Path in the Spring of this year for $149.99 and the official names for the colors will be Stainless Steel, Rose Tone, Gold Tone, and Stainless Steel with Gold Tone accents.
