Samsung Italy President Shares Galaxy S9 Video Spot

Samsung Italy President, Carlo Barlocco, has shared a Galaxy S9 video spot on Twitter earlier this morning which teases the company’s focus on providing an excellent camera for this year’s flagships. Highlighting the message that Samsung and the Galaxy S9 will reimagine the camera, Barlocco doesn’t give much detail in terms of specs or features, but he does state that the Galaxy S9 will help people learn to “imagine everything from the beginning,” while the video cycles through a series of different images of people holding digital cameras, streaming themselves, taking selfies, and more.

The video is only 30 seconds long and doesn’t reveal anything specific about the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus, but with Samsung having confirmed that it will announce the two variations of its 2018 flagship on February 25 during its Mobile World Congress press event, known as Galaxy Unpacked, the date at which it will officially announce the new phones is coming up fast and Samsung seems to be ramping up its teasers for, which suggests that this may not be the last official teaser before the phone unveiling.

Samsung seems to be teasing a few things in the video, such as the heavily-rumored Slow-mo video capture, and it looks like it’s hinting at possible AR stickers and some other features that have to do with emoji. Those are things worth keeping in mind as different teaser videos surfaced online earlier which seem to point towards the same thing. This further suggests that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will have these features, though in what capacity and how exactly they’ll work is still unknown since nothing has been announced yet. Whatever Samsung has planned for the camera on both new phones is sure to be exciting for smartphone owners who are eyeing this new device, especially considering Samsung’s cameras have been ranked among some of the best for the last couple of years, so the company is no doubt pulling all the stops to offer something that consumers will find appealing. At least that’s what Samsung seems to be suggesting.
