UMIDIGI Z2 To Sport A 7,000mAh Battery, And A Notch

UMIDIGI has just announced that the UMIDIGI Z2 handset, which leaked a couple of times thus far, will sport a notch at the top of the display, and in addition to that, the company shared some more info about the phone. If you take a look at the provided image above, you will get to see a render of the upper side of the phone, its front side, and the phone’s notch carries its dual selfie cameras, earpiece, and a couple of sensors.

This image also reveals that the device will ship with a 6.2-inch fullHD+ display, whose resolution will be 2246 x 1080 pixels. The phone’s display will sport rounded corners, and the image also reveals that all the physical buttons will be placed on the right side of this phone. The company actually said that the previously leaked renders of the phone are not entirely accurate, even though the device will probably resemble the leaked handset quite a bit. Now, the source also claims that the UMIDIGI Z2 will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner, like the one we’ve seen in the Vivo X20 Plus UD, while the phone will also include a 7,000mAh non-removable battery. NFC will also be a part of the package according to the info we’ve received, and that’s pretty much all the info that we’ve received thus far.

Now, if the previously-leaked render is any indication of the phone’s design, we can expect the device to sport a glass back, and a dual camera setup on the back. A Type-C USB port will be included at the bottom of the device, and chances are that it will be fueled by one of MediaTek’s mid-range processors. Presuming that the UMIDIGI Z2 will ship with Synaptics’ Clear ID in-display fingerprint scanner, which is only such scanner currently available, the UMIDIGI Z2 will need to sport an OLED display, as the Clear ID fingerprint scanner only works with OLED panels. In any case, the device is expected to arrive in the near future, though we still do not know when exactly. Stay tuned, though, more info will probably arrive soon.
