Xiaomi Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus Arrive To Spain; Available Soon

Xiaomi had introduced the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones back in December last year, and the two phones have just arrived to Europe, well, Spain, to be precise. Both the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are now listed on the company’s official website in Spain, though they’re still not available for purchase, but Xiaomi did mention that both phones are ‘coming soon’. Xiaomi did mention that Redmi 5’s pricing will start at €129, while its sibling’s pricing will start at €179.

That being said, several variants of these two phones are listed on Xiaomi Spain’s website, so consumers will have some options when purchasing either of these two phones. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be available in both 2GB and 3GB RAM variants, and those two models will ship with 32GB and 64GB of storage, respectively. The Redmi 5 will be available in Black, Blue and Gold color options in Spain. The Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, will arrive in 3GB and 4GB RAM options, with 32GB and 64GB of storage, respectively, and it will also ship in Black, Blue, and Gold color variants. Having said that, both of these devices are made out of metal, and they basically look the same, though the Redmi 5 Plus is the larger of the two. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner is a part of the package, and both phones have rather thin bezels, at least compared to their predecessors. On the back of these phones, you will find a single camera, which protrudes a bit, while all physical keys are included on the right-hand side of these two phones.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 450 64-bit octa-core processor. This handset also comes with a 3,300mAh non-removable battery, and ships with Android 7.1.2 Nougat, with MIUI 9.1 on top of it. The Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, sports a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, and it is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core SoC. The device comes with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery, and ships with the same OS and skin version as its sibling. Both phones feature a 12-megapixel camera (1.25um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture) on the back, and the same can be said for a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper.
