Meizu had introduced its Meizu M6s smartphone back in January with 3GB of RAM, and a new variant of the phone just got certified in China. The Meizu M6s M712Q-B got certified by TENAA, and that certification reveals that both 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the phone are on the way. This listing popped up on TENAA yesterday, and other than different RAM counts, the rest of Meizu M6s’ specs are the same as on the variant that was announced back in January.
The Meizu M6s is a metal-clad smartphone, though it’s somewhat different than the company’s previous devices. This handset does not sport the mBack physical, multifunctional home key below the display, instead, Meizu implemented the ‘Halo Button’ in the Meizu M6s. The Halo Button is a part of the phone’s display, it’s an on-screen key which will respond to pressure. If you press on it, it will act as a home key, if you tap it like any other part of the display, it will act as a back key. It works similar to the mBack key, but it’s not a part of the phone’s display. A single camera is included on the back of the Meizu M6s, and a fingerprint scanner is included on the right-hand side of this smartphone, not on its front side, which was the case on Meizu’s previous smartphones. The device features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, while the phone’s new variants will include 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, respectively, while the original variant with 3GB of RAM came in both 32GB and 64GB storage options. Speaking of which, the Meizu M6s offers storage expansion, just in case you need it.
A 16-megapixel snapper sits on the back of the Meizu M6s, while an 8-megapixel camera is located on its front side. A 3,000mAh non-removable battery which supports 18W fast charging is also a part of this package, while Android 7.1.2 Nougat comes pre-installed on the phone, with Meizu’s Flyme 6.2 OS. The phone was originally announced in Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Moonlight Silver, and Cobalt Blue color variants, all of which are listed on TENAA for these new variants as well.
