Boost Mobile has recently introduced a new plan offering dubbed as the Unlimited Plus Plan. On its website, the American mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) stated that the Unlimited Plus Plan is priced at $60 a month and it comes with unlimited data, text messages and calls. In select devices, the carrier is also offering 50 minutes of calls while roaming. The plan also comes with a monthly mobile hotspot data allocation of 20GB. Boost Mobile also offers HD video streaming and unlimited music streaming to its customers who will take advantage of the new plan. In select markets, subscribers who will settle 12 monthly payments on-time may receive a free phone upgrade or a $100 credit towards a new device. Consumers may also choose to enroll additional lines of Unlimited Plus for $40 a month, allowing people to save as much as $80 per month if they apply for 5 lines.
In addition to the Unlimited Plus Plan, Boost Mobile is still offering the Unlimited Gigs Plan for $50 per month. This plan also comes with unlimited calls, text messages, and data, although it only includes a monthly hotspot data allocation of 8GB, which is less than half the data allocation included with the more expensive Unlimited Plus Plan. Furthermore, the plan limits the resolution of the video streams to 480p. It also limits the quality of the subscriber’s music streams to 500kbps and it caps the bandwidth allocated for cloud game streaming to 2Mbps. Subscribers may also enroll additional lines of Unlimited Gigs Plan for $30 per month. For people who do not need unlimited data, a cheaper plan that includes unlimited calls and texts, and a monthly data allocation of 3GB for $35 a month is on offer, which might be more suitable if you use web-connected services more rarely.
Like other network operators in the United States, Boost Mobile is implementing deprioritization. With deprioritization, consumers who use more than 23GB of data in a month may experience a reduction in data speeds when the network is congested. On the other hand, the data speeds experienced by customers who are enrolled in the plan with monthly data allocation will be throttled to 2G speeds once they exceed their monthly data cap.
