The Huawei Y9 has now leaked in Blue and Black alongside specifications details for the phone, which has already leaked a couple of times over the past week and as recently as yesterday in a press render of the Gold color, which was also discovered in FCC documents. While no specs had been leaked or rumored prior to today, save for the main details which could be seen in the images like the dual rear cameras, dual front cameras, and fingerprint sensor, the specs that have now leaked offer up just about every piece of information related to the phone’s hardware and internals.
According to the leak the Huawei Y9 will come with a main 13-megapixel sensor on the back paired with a secondary 2-megapixel sensor, while the dual camera setup on the front will be a 16-megapixel main sensor and the same 2-megapixel secondary sensor for selfies and video chat. The screen, which will be 5.93-inches in size and utilize Huawei’s FullView technology while also coming with an 18:9 aspect ratio, will come at a resolution of Full HD+ or more specifically 2,160 x 1,080. The phone will also come with room for two nano SIM cards and one micro SD card for expandable storage, though the internal storage of 32GB will be plenty for some users who tend not to install a lot of media or other data on their phones.
When it comes to other internals, the Y9 will come powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 659 processor, which is an octa-core CPU and comes paired with 3GB of RAM. The phone will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with the latest version of EMUI, which is currently version 8.0 as well. The phone will also come with a 4,000mAh battery according to the leak, and will come in the three colors which have already been leaked. This includes the Blue seen above, the Black seen below, and the Gold that was leaked yesterday. There is still no mention of a price point for the phone or the dedicated launch regions, but those details will probably surface following Huawei’s official announcement of the device in the near future.
