Motorola's Official Website Hints Moto E5 Play Is Coming

Motorola is expected to introduce the Moto E5 Play handset in the near future, and some proof that the phone is coming just surfaced. This info surfaced on the company’s very own website, as a search query on the company’s website mentions ‘Moto Actions – Moto e5 play’, at least according to the source, as the same query does not yield such a result at the moment. Moto Actions, for those of you who do not know, is one of Motorola’s features for its smartphones, Moto Actions basically allow users to perform certain actions by using gestures, and this info more or less suggests that the Moto E5 Play is not only coming, but that it will sport Moto Actions out of the box.

Now, that is pretty much it as far as new info goes, but the Moto E5 Play did surface quite a few times thus far. Evan Blass shared the Moto E5 Play renders a while back, claiming that the phone will launch on Verizon and Cricket Wireless as the Moto E5 Cruise. Those renders suggest that the Moto E5 Play will sport rather thick bezels all around, though its bottom bezel will be the thickest one. All the physical keys will be included on the right-hand side of the device, while the phone will utilize on-screen buttons. Motorola’s logo will be placed below the display on the device, while a single camera will be included on the back of the Moto E5 Play, even though we did not see the back side of the phone just yet. It is also worth mentioning that April 3rd was mentioned in those renders, so that may be the launch date for the Moto E5 Play, who knows.

The Moto E5 Play is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, while the phone will be made out of plastic, it seems. A 12-megapixel shooter will be included on the back of the device, while a 5-megapixel camera will be available on its front side. A 4,000mAh non-removable battery was also mentioned in rumors, and that’s pretty much it as far as specs go. It is still unclear whether the phone will ship with Android Nougat or Oreo out of the box, nor what we can expect in the RAM department, though chances are that the Moto E5 Play will ship with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM on the inside.
