A new Harry Potter game seems to be on the way, the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will arrive to both Android and iOS on April 25. This game is already listed on the Google Play Store, and you can pre-register if you want. Jam City is the developing studio behind this game, a company which released Snoopy Pop, Family Guy- Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, Cookie Jam Blast, Juice Jam, Poker Heroes, and a number of other games for Android that you may have already played or at least heard of.
A first teaser trailer for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery was published at the beginning of March, and back then, we knew that it is coming in Spring, but the release date was not available. This will be an RPG game, and you will be able to create your own character which will then experience life as a Hogwarts student. This game is taking place before the Harry Potter movies, and it will give you a chance to explore the Hogwarts Castle, and learn its secrets. During the game, you will be able to learn magic from various professors you may be familiar with from books and / or movies, while you will also be able to duel with your rivals, forge alliances, and so on. A number of actors from the Harry Potter movies will provide voiceover for this game, including Dame Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall), Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore), Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Sally Mortemore (Madam Irma Pince), Gemma Jones (Madam Pomfrey), and Zoe Wanamaker (Madam Hooch).
As this is an RPG game, you will be able to build your character along the way, not only learn new spells, but also use potions, earn respect points, and so on. Quests will be an integral part of the game, as expected, and it seems like graphics will look nice as well, at least according to the teaser trailer. We are still not sure if the game will be free or not, but in any case, set your reminders for April 25, as that is when we will able to find out all the necessary details. Having said that, you can sign up for a beta test as we speak, if you’d like to get an early access to the game, and help the developer iron out some bugs.
