Huawei P20 Pro, P20 Lite To Be Amazon Exclusives In India

Ahead of their India launch next week, the Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite have now been listed on Amazon.in, confirming the devices to be exclusive to the online retailer. Amazon has a page dedicated to the P20 series with the most of it talking about just the Pro variant and its superior hardware. The interested buyers can click on the “Notify Me” button provided against each device to get notified when they go on sale. This is also for the first time it is officially confirmed what all devices from the P20 series will be landing in India, while Huawei stayed mum on this until now. The company was earlier expected to launch the P20 Pro and P20 in the South Asian market, but now it’s clear that the latter wouldn’t be announced here, at least initially.

Huawei confirmed a couple of days back to launch the P20 series in India on Tuesday, April 24 by sending out invites to the local media. The invite carried the company’s “SEE MOOORE” tagline, also found on the Amazon listing, indicating at the P20 Pro that features a triple-camera setup on its back. The Amazon listing highlights the Pro’s features like its AI-powered camera setup, notched OLED display, and Kirin 970 processor also supported by AI. The high-end smartphone could manage scoring 109 points on DxOMark tests, which Huawei is boasting about across its marketing material, including on the Amazon page. Both the devices should be available for purchase in India soon after their announcement next week.

While the P20 Pro is a premium smartphone, the P20 Lite falls in the mid-range territory. It comes with a 5.8-inch display in the 19:9 aspect ratio having an FHD+ resolution and embraces a display notch. Unlike the two superior P20 devices, the Lite has its fingerprint scanner placed on the back while still retaining a relatively smaller chin bezel on the front. Huawei’s mid-range Kirin 659 processor fuels the device and is supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash memory. A dual-camera setup is placed on its back and the company has included a battery of 3,000mAh. The handset debuted with a price tag of $468 (Rs. 30,918). The P20 Pro was announced separately in Paris at price of €899 (Rs. 72,778).
