The Motorola Moto E5 Plus has hit Geekbench showing that it comes with Android 8.0 Oreo and 3GB of RAM. Up until now there hasn’t been too much detail on the Moto E5 Plus in terms of specifications or hardware details, as most of the leaks have revolved around the fact that there will simply be a ‘Plus’ variant and a ‘Play’ variant alongside the standard Moto E5, as well as a few leaks displaying what the phone will look like, one of those leaks being the image shown above as one of the color variants of the device.
In addition to the 3GB of RAM for the phone memory the phone also comes with a Qualcomm MSM8937 quad-core processor, which seems to confirm an earlier suspicion that the phone would come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 CPU. Geekbench is a benchmarking website, so naturally the Moto E5 Plus was run through some benchmark tests and was given a score based on the hardware inside. According to the benchmark the phone gets a single-core score of 653, while its multi-core score reaches 1835. The benchmark was also listed as being posted on April 12 2018, so the benchmark is from today and that likely means this is either a final or near-final version of the device.
The Moto E5 Plus should be coming with an 18:9 aspect ratio meaning there will be very little bezels on the display, and as you can see in the image there is not front fingerprint sensor below the display. Instead all that remains in that location is the Motorola branding and the fingerprint sensor looks to have been moved to the back where the Motorola batwing logo is just below the rear-facing camera. 3GB of RAM might seem a bit low in this day and age, but it’s important to remember that the Moto E series is Motorola’s entry-level phone lineup, so 3GB is actually right on par, and really pretty decent for what Motorola will likely be charging to pick the Moto E5 Plus up.
