A number of real-world images have now surfaced online showcasing what is said to be the new Moto E5 Plus from Motorola. The images first appeared on Weibo last week and seem to largely confirm many of the rumored design points on offer with this latest Moto phone. As the images are very much in line with previous renders that have leaked online during the past couple of months.
For example, it has been highly rumored that in spite of being a budget phone the Moto E5 Plus will come equipped with an 18:9 aspect ratio resulting in a display that is taller and slimmer than it would be otherwise. This latest round of leaked images seems to further confirm that point. Likewise the rear of the device seems largely unchanged from last year’s model with the camera module included as part of the ‘Moto ring’ along with the Moto branding underneath. Though unlike last year’s module these photos do suggest the module will not quite be so straightforward as while it does not seem there is a true dual rear camera setup, there are dual cutouts in play. Another point to note is due to the inclusion of an 18:9 aspect ratio the menu key on the E5 Plus has been removed from the front panel. This also likely means the fingerprint sensor has been relocated as well with most indications pointing to a rear panel placement and possibly incoroported with the Moto branding.
Generally speaking, these points are not new points as all of them were suggested with the previously leaked renders. Though, with these being live photos of the device, they do add further confirmation to the previously rumored features. While availability and pricing are still largely unknown, the previous renders have provided some indication on where the Moto E5 Plus will be on sale. As the renders that have come through have been specific to Verizon and Cricket Wireless. Although some rumors point to the Cricket version launching as the Moto E5 Supra. However, it does arrive, with the Moto E line considered as the company’s entry level product range it should be expected the Moto E5 Plus will arrive extremely competitively priced. And likely in more variants than just the Plus model.
