The Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6 Plus leaked online once again earlier this week, with the smartphones being shown in over a dozen seemingly official case renders obtained by German tech outlet WinFuture. The images that can be seen below are perfectly in line with recent sightings of Samsung’s upcoming Android mid-rangers, confirming that the most obvious difference between the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6 Plus will be similar to the one observed with the Galaxy S9 series; the smaller device will have a single back camera, whereas its larger counterpart will rely on a two-lens setup.
Both will ship with rear-mounted fingerprint readers and front-facing flash units, as well as Infinity Display panels with an elongated aspect ratio of 18.5:9, as per the new leak and close to a dozen other sightings of the Galaxy A6 lineup recorded in recent weeks. Samsung also appears to be preparing to launch several first-party protective cases for its mid-range duo which has so far only been spotted in a single color – black. The devices will support an FHD+ resolution of 2,220 by 1,080 pixels and be powered by the Exynos 7870 clocked at up to 1.6GHz, previous rumors indicate. The Galaxy A6 is likely to offer 32GB of storage space, whereas the Galaxy A6 Plus should debut with 64GB of flash memory, with both being expected to feature a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB of additional storage.
RAM configurations Samsung is preparing remain unclear, though the two handsets are expected to have either 3GB or 4GB of RAM given how they’re meant to be more affordable alternatives to the Galaxy A8 series which offers up to 6GB of RAM, depending on the model. The Galaxy A6 family should be officially announced by the end of spring and may debut in India before making its way to other markets around the world, as per recent reports.
