The Vivo Y71 got certified by TENAA earlier this month, and the device has just been announced in India. Considering that this phone belongs in Vivo’s Y series of devices, it is an entry-level smartphone. Having said that, the Vivo Y71’s bezels are not all that thick, though they’re not as thin as bezels on some other, more expensive Vivo-branded devices. It is also worth saying that the phone’s top bezel seems to be a hair thicker than its bottom one, though it’s barely noticeable. This smartphone sports a single camera on its back, all of its physical keys sit on the right, while its SIM card tray is included on the left. The company’s logo is located on the back of the device, and the same can be said for an LED flash.
This handset features a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it, while it is fueled by the Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core processor. The device packs in 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). The phone does not feature a fingerprint scanner, which is not all that surprising considering this is a Y series handset. Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Vivo Y71, while the company’s Funtouch OS is installed on top of Google’s operating system. The Vivo Y71 measures 155.9 x 75.8 x 7.8mm, while it weighs 150 grams.
This smartphone does support 4G LTE connectivity, while it comes with Bluetooth 4.1 as well. The Vivo Y71 comes in Black and Gold color variants, while it is priced at Rs. 10,990 in the country.
