A new leak has provided details regarding the pricing of the Xiaomi Mi 6X. According to the leak, the variant of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash storage will have a price tag of 1,799 Yuan, which translates to around $285 at the current exchange rate. On the other hand, the more expensive variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6X, which includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash storage, will cost the user 1,999 Yuan ($316). The leak did not provide information regarding the pricing of both the top model of the device, which has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal flash storage, and the rumored base model of the smartphone, which has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash storage.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to become the direct successor of the Mi 5X. Earlier leaks have provided information regarding the specifications of the handset. This handset will reportedly be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset from the semiconductor firm Qualcomm. This SoC is comprised of an octa-core Kryo 260 64-bit CPU and the Adreno 512 GPU. Rumors indicate that the device will ship with a 5.99-inch display, which will likely have a resolution of 2160 by 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone will likely lack a headphone jack due to the inclusion of a USB Type-C adapter for the headphone port inside the package. The smartphone will reportedly have a dual rear camera setup, which is equipped with one 20-megapixel sensor and one 8-megapixel module. Leaked press renders show that two rear cameras will be arranged vertically near the upper left corner of the device’s back, while a fingerprint scanner for quickly unlocking the device can also be found on the device’s rear panel. Meanwhile, the front-facing selfie shooter will ship with a 20-megapixel camera, according to recent leaks. A number of rumors also mentioned that the handset will include either a 2,910mAh battery or a 3,000mAh battery.
Software-wise, the Xiaomi Mi 6X will likely ship with Android 8.1 Oreo pre-installed although the Chinese smartphone manufacturer’s proprietary skin, MIUI 9, will likely run on top of Google’s operating system. Previous leaks claim that the handset will be available in a number of color variants including pink, gold, black, blue, and red.
