The LG G7 ThinQ Android flagship is coming to Canada in June, with fourteen wireless carriers and retailers confirming their plans to carry the newly announced smartphone from the South Korean tech giant. LG’s latest offering will be sold by all of the company’s existing partners in the country, with that list including Telus, Bell, SaskTel, Freedom Mobile, Rogers, Fido, Virgin Mobile, and Wireless Wave. Walmart, The Mobile Shop, and London Drugs will also be carrying the LG G7 ThinQ, as will Wow! Mobile Boutique, Wireless Etc. (Costco Wholesale), and Tbooth Wireless.
The majority of the names listed above say they will either start offering the LG G7 ThinQ later this spring or are specifically citing June 1 as its release date, with that availability window being in line with what retailers and mobile service providers in the United States and Europe disclosed in the last 24 hours. Any Canadian consumer looking to buy the LG G7 ThinQ this spring should hence have little issues with doing so, regardless of whether they’re looking for an unlocked device or an upgrade to go alongside their carrier contract, both online and offline. No pricing details have yet been revealed by any Canadian company, though recent disclosures are pointing to a price point of approximately $700, i.e. $900 CAD.
The LG G7 ThinQ will be comparably ubiquitous at retail locations outside of Canada, though LG did manage to miss out on one major name from the United States, with AT&T confirming it will be the only major carrier in the country that won’t be carrying the device earlier today. The Seoul-based company still appears to have learned its lesson about long delays between smartphone announcements and releases this year, with the G7 ThinQ being set to start retailing on a global level no longer than a month following its official launch. The handset itself ships with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845, a base of 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage space, and a 16-megapixel dual-camera setup with a broad range of AI features.
