The LG G7 ThinQ pre-orders will start as of May 25 according to a new leak from Evan Blass, and in addition to the pre-orders the apparent launch date will be June 1, which means you’ll only have six more days to wait following the beginning of the pre-orders if you’d rather pick up the device in the store and walk out with it as opposed to ordering online and waiting for it to show up on your doorstep.
The June 1 release isn’t necessarily a huge revelation, as Sprint and U.S. Cellular were already reported to be releasing the phone on this date, but so far no other carriers had mentioned when they plan to launch the phone. With this new leak, which is likely about the unlocked model and not necessarily any one carrier-specific version, it’s now seemingly more plausible that all the major U.S. carriers will be releasing the phone on the same day, or close to it at least. This also gives a little bit of an idea to the public on when to potentially expect pre-orders as well, should carriers follow the same time frame.
To be clear, there is no mention of any kind which type of the G7 ThinQ this is referring to, and it’s worth mentioning that this isn’t a confirmation directly from LG so things could always change, but for the time being it looks as if consumers who are interested will be able to lay their hands on the phone by the beginning of next month, if things go according to LG’s supposed plan. LG officially announced the G7 ThinQ earlier this month, showing it off in all of its available colors that will be coming to market, while also giving all of the details about the phone’s features and special quirks. With the launch date now out in the open, all that hasn’t been cleared up is what the phone will cost at each carrier.
