About a week ago, we’ve shared an exclusive render of the upcoming Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and now some real-life images of the phone surfaced in China. As you can see, this smartphone will be made out of metal and glass, while the camera oreo will be included on the back of the phone, and host two cameras, plus a dual-LED flash. The first image in the gallery confirms the device’s model number, XT1929, while it also confirms that the phone will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
As you can see, the company’s branding is included below the display, and the fingerprint scanner is nowhere to be found. According to some rumors, the Moto Z3 Play will sport a side-facing fingerprint scanner, similar to the ones we’ve seen on some Sony and Meizu-branded smartphones. The Moto Z3 Play’s bezels do not seem to be that thick, and its display features rounded corners. The phone will utilize on-screen buttons, and if rumors are to be believed, it will go on sale next month. Rumors are suggesting that the phone will sport a 6-inch fullHD+ display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio, while 12 and 8-megapixel cameras are rumored to be included on the back of this smartphone. A 3.5mm headphone jack probably won’t be a part of this package, while the device already paid a visit to the FCC. Now, according to the FCC, the Moto Z3 Play will ship with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor.
A 5-megapixel camera will probably be included on the phone’s front side, while a 3,000mAh battery had also been mentioned in rumors. The device will be compatible with the company’s Moto Mod accessories, as it has a number of pogo pins on its back. Motorola had recently introduced the Moto G6, G6 Play, E5, E5 Play, and E5 Plus smartphones, and the Moto Z3 Play will probably be more powerful than all of those devices, even though this will be a mid-range smartphone as well. The Moto Z3 Play will also sport noticeably thinner bezels than all the other phones that Motorola announced this year, at least according to leaks.
