The rumored Nokia X has just surfaced on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), which essentially means it got certified in China. The device surfaced with a “TA-1099” model number, in case you were wondering. This handset will probably be announced on May 16, at least according to a recent teaser which was released through HMD Global’s social media channels in China. Having said that, this TENAA listing re-confirms the phone’s design, while it also reveals its specifications, and it got listed on the site last month, but it’s making the rounds as we speak.
Based on the provided images, it seems like the device will be made out of metal and glass, while it will sport two cameras on the back. A fingerprint scanner will also be included on the back of this phone, and the same goes for an LED flash. ALl the physical keys will sit on the right-hand side of the Nokia X, and the company’s logo will be present both below the display, and on the back of the device. A SIM card tray is not located on the left-hand side of the phone, which probably means it will sit at the top of the device. A Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom of the Nokia X, and the same can be said for the phone’s loudspeaker. As far as specs are concerned, TENAA reports that the device will sport a 5.8-inch fullHD+ (2280 x 1080) display, along with 3GB / 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage which you will be able to expand up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The device will be fueled by an octa-core SoC which will be clocked at 1.8GHz, and this is most likely the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor we’re looking at here. Android 8.1 Oreo is also mentioned in the listing, while the Nokia X will be an Android One smartphone, which means that it will ship with stock Android, basically. A 3,000mAh battery will also be included in this package, and the same can be said for fast charging, even though it’s not mentioned by TENAA. The source only mentions a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, it does not mention the secondary sensor, which will be included. A 16-megapixel camera will be included on the phone’s front side as well, while the device will measure 147.2 x 70.98 x 7.99mm, and weigh 151 grams. The device will be available in Black, Blue, and Silver White color options, says TENAA.
