A lot of Xiaomi-branded smartphones have been surfacing on Geekbench lately, and a new one just showed up, the Xiaomi “E6”. This handset follows the Xiaomi “cereus”, “valentino”, “cactus”, and “StRaKz” which have all popped up in the last month or so, the last one actually appeared yesterday. Now, based on the provided info by Geekbench, the Xiaomi E6 is a mid-range smartphone, just like pretty much every other device that we’ve mentioned here.
Geekbench reveals that the Xiaomi E6 will ship with 3GB of RAM, while its SoC has not been mentioned, but based on its benchmark scores that we’ll talk about in a minute, this phone will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the Xiaomi E6, and it’s also worth saying that the device will not be called “Xiaomi E6” once it hits the market, of course, that is just its codename. This phone is probably a member of Xiaomi’s Redmi family, though we cannot say for sure. The device managed to score 841 points in a single-core benchmark, while it was able to hit 4,259 points in a multi-core test, in case you were wondering. These results do point to a fact that the phone is fueled by one of Qualcomm’s mid-range processors, we do know that it will ship with a Snapdragon chip, as that is mentioned by Geekbench, but the exact processor model is still a mystery.
Xiaomi seems to be planning to release quite a few smartphones in the coming months, at least according to leaked info, so this phone could either belong in the company’s Redmi series, or Xiaomi may release a whole new series of devices based on how many phones surfaced on Geekbench, and how many the company plans to push out to the market. Xiaomi had introduced the Redmi S2 lately, an extremely affordable mid-ranger, while the Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus, and Redmi Note 5 arrived before it. It is also worth saying that the Mi 5X arrived not long ago as well, while the Mi A2 and Mi 7 are expected to launch in the near future.
