Nokia 8110 4G Feature Phone Now Up For Pre-Orders In Europe

The Nokia 8110 4G feature phone is now up for pre-orders in Europe, becoming available to consumers some three months after being announced at this year’s edition of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Both the Yellow and Black variants of the handset can now be found listed on Amazon UK, priced at £78.56. The French, Italian, German, and Spanish arms of the e-commerce giant are also offering advanced orders on the phone at comparable prices, with all of them having the Nokia 8110 4G listed as being set to start shipping on July 4. Dutch consumers are able to order the device from MediaMarkt, with several other countries being expected to receive the feature phone in the coming weeks as well.

Depending on the exact market and its value-added tax rate, the Nokia 8110 4G will go for roughly €80 ($93) in Europe, which is in line with the price tag HMD hinted at earlier this year. The device itself runs KaiOS, features a 2.45-inch QVGA display, and is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chip clocked at a maximum operating frequency of 1.1GHz. HMD claims the Nokia 8110 4G can offer up to 25 days of standby time and generally serve as a highly reliable daily driver. The company is targeting global availability with its latest product, though most consumers in the West are likely to be looking at it as a potential backup device, with feature phones generally declining in popularity in all markets nowadays, according to a number of major industry trackers.

The Nokia 8110 4G was previously also rumored to be coming to the United States, with recent reports indicating it’s set for a second-quarter release in the country, but HMD Global has yet to give any official indication of that being the case. Contemporary Nokia smartphones are more widely available in the U.S., with the Finnish company most recently introducing the Nokia 6.1 stateside, in addition to hinting that more will follow suit later this year.
