UMIDIGI has just released a new promo video for its new UMIDIGI Z2 (Pro) smartphone. The UMIDIGI Z2 and UMIDIGI Z2 Pro had been introduced recently, and those two smartphones look the same, so this video compares both of those phones with the Huawei P20, Huawei’s flagship. This video focuses on the design of both smartphones, UMIDIGI opted not to delve into software comparisons or anything of the sort, and the provided video has a duration of only 35 seconds, while it is embedded down below.
Now, the first thing you will notice when you take a look at the UMIDIGI Z2 and the Huawei P20 is that the UMIDIGI Z2 has a thinner “chin” below the display. Truth be said, the Huawei P20 does have a fingerprint scanner down there, so it is to be expected for its “chin” to be a little bit thicker. Both phones have displays with rounded corners, and both phones come in color variants which offer gradient glass on the back. The Huawei P20 has a flat rear-facing glass, while the UMIDIGI Z2 features a slightly curved glass back. The UMIDIGI Z2 has a noticeably wider notch than the Huawei P20, but it’s one gram lighter than Huawei’s offering, as the UMIDIGI Z2 weighs 165 grams compared to 166 grams of the Huawei P20. Both devices ship with Android 8.1 Oreo, though the Huawei P20 features Huawei’s custom UI called Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.1, compared to almost stock Android on the UMIDIGI Z2.
If you would like to take a look at UMIDIGI’s comparison video, it is embedded down below for your convenience. The UMIDIGI Z2 Pro pre-sales will start from $249.99 on June 11 (8 AM UTC), and the company is even giving away 10 UMIDIGI Z2 Pro smartphones and UMIDIGI Q1 wireless chargers, follow the link / banner down below for more info. The Huawei P20, on the other hand, has been available for purchase for quite some time now in specific regions.
