The Huawei Mate 20 and its Mate 20 Pro sibling are expected to launch in October, and some interesting info regarding the Mate 20 Pro’s battery has just surfaced. The source has shared Huawei’s official Mate 20 Pro teaser, and that teaser basically reveals that the Mate 20 Pro’s battery will be larger than the one in the Huawei P20 Pro. The Huawei P20 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery, which means that the Mate 20 Pro’s battery pack will definitely be larger than that, and chances are that it will be larger than the Ascend Mate 7’s 4,100mAh battery pack as well, which means that the Mate 20 Pro will sport the largest battery of any Huawei Mate-branded smartphone to date.
The Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 Lite will quite probably all launch at the same time in October, and the three devices will resemble the company’s P20 series of devices, quite probably. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is actually expected to ship with three cameras on the back, just like the P20 Pro, and Leica’s lenses will be included on both the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Both of those phones will be fueled by the Kirin 980 64-bit octa-core processor which is expected to become official by the end of this month, and that will be Huawei’s all-new flagship mobile processor, in case you were wondering. For years the company’s flagship Mate series of devices debuted Huawei’s flagship Kirin processors, and this year won’t be any different.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro, just like its Mate 20 sibling, will be made out of metal and glass, while they will both sport really thin bezels. It is still unclear whether the two devices will ship with a display notch, like the P20 and P20 Pro, but more leaks are expected to surface soon, so we’ll hopefully find out in the near future. The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo, quite probably, as it’s unlikely that Huawei will have Android 9.0 Pie-based Emotion UI (EMUI) ready for October, but we’ll see.
