Nova Launcher is one of the most popular launcher applications for Android, and a new beta version has just been released, along with a number of new features and improvements. Nova Launcher 6.0-beta1 just landed, according to Kevin Barry, a man behind Nova Launcher. Mr. Barry shared the news via Google+, and needless to say, this version of Nova Launcher is available to beta testers via the Google Play Store, a download link is included down below, though you’ll need to opt-in to Nova Launcher betas in case you haven’t already, which can be done via that very same link.
That being said, in this version of Nova Launcher, its developer improved the Settings menu layout, the Dock options are now a part of ‘Desktop’, for example, though there are quite a few changes. Nova Settings are now searchable, which is an option that has been requested by quite a few users in the past. Adaptive Icons also got better in this version, as more options are available, including a new customizable shape. Nova Launcher 6.0-beta1 also brings an option to automatically match folder and app drawer icon sizes to desktop, while new window styles in folders are also included in the update. Folder background shapes share the same options as adaptive icons in Nova Launcher 6.0-beta one, so you have Round, Circle, and several other options there.
In Nova Launcher 6.0-beta1 you can also stylize app drawer search bar, like on the desktop, while you can set search bar provider to Google or Nova Settings. Vertical and horizontal scrolling options for folders have been added, while those of you who do not have Nova Prime can resize icons, as that feature is no longer exclusive to Nova Prime. If you like some, or all of these features, beta opt-in / beta download link is included down below. All of these features will come to a stable version of Nova Launcher in the near future, probably in the next couple of weeks.
